FEEDING CHART Our Feeding Chart based on the energy content of our diets. Animals generally eat to an energy requirement and nutrients must be present in sufficient amounts relative to the energy intake. We at Companion Natural Foods recommend you initially follow suggested feeding guidelines and then adjust your pet’s food intake to maintain a health body weight. In addition to the standard guaranteed analysis listed on the products pages, here we have included an approximate nutrient content chart for our diets. As a raw meat product, our foods should remain frozen solid until feeding. To feed, remove from freezer and thaw slowly in your refrigerator a day or so before feeding. Food lasts approximately 4-5 days in the refrigerator. FEEDING AMOUNTS The following charts are based on all three varieties of food (Chicken, Beef and Turkey) being fed on either a daily or weekly rotation. Each pet is different in activity and metabolism so you will need to watch your pet closely, for weight loss or gain and appetite level, to know when to feed more or less. We recommend feeding your pet twice daily. Just divide it's daily food requirement into two equal portions, one to be fed in the morning and one in the evening. This will keep your pet from becoming too hungry from one meal to the next. IMPORTANT Young puppies and kittens require much more food than our feeding chart indicates. Very young animals may need to eat as much as 10% of their body weight per day, or the amount for their projected adult weight per day. Feed your 3 meals over the course of the day. You will need to watch closely to make sure your pet is not too thin and is also not too fat. Your pet should be lean and normally active. FEEDING CHART
